Community Nursing
Support is delivered by AHPRA registered nurses within the scope of their practice and guidelines.
Our community nursing services support participants’ individual goals and specific needs.
Our high-intensity daily activities and nursing care include:
- Diabetes Management
- Complex wounds
- Respiratory support - ventilation and tracheostomy care
- Catheter care and continence management
- Bowel Care
- Tube- feeding
- Medication administration and supervision
- Monitoring of blood pressure, pulse, temperature
- Overnight nursing care.
Wound Care
CHCS staff complement is comprised of experienced registered nurses, enrolled nurses, and support workers.
- Pressure areas assessment, prevention, and management
- Wound assessment and wound care plans
- Wound dressings
- Chronic wound management
- PEG wound assessment, management, and infection prevention
- Tracheostomy stoma care Post-surgery wound assessment and management Sutures/stitches monitoring and removal
